Digital Candil Kuya - Hallo Sobat Candil OPPO is reportedly planning to make its own processor. The Chinese company doesn't seem to want to rely on chip manufacturers like MediaTek or Qualcomm.
This OPPO-made processor will later become the kitchen runway for all the smartphones they make. OPPO is known to want to follow the trend that is happening in the industry today, which is to make independent processor chips, as other technology companies do.
It is known, several device manufacturers have also taken steps to create their own processors. Some of them are Apple with Bionic processors, Samsung with Exynos, Huawei with Kirin and finally Google with the name Tensor.
Reported via Nikkei, Tuesday, October 26, 2021, the source of the page said that OPPO is trying not to rely too much on third parties or chip manufacturers. Instead of ordering processors, OPPO is rumored to have 'hijacked' chip and AI experts from MediaTek, Qualcomm to Huawei.
The plan, OPPO will make three custom chips based on the 3nm technology process made by TSMC. This new chip is expected to be used in OPPO smartphones in 2023 or 2024. If OPPO's flagship smartphone still uses the Find X model name, chances are that year, the chip will be embedded in the Find X5 Pro or Find X6 Pro.
If this issue is indeed carried out, then it may not be only OPPO that will use the custom processor. Everyone knows that OPPO has a parent named BBK Electronics. OPPO's parent company is known to have other smartphone brands, namely vivo, realme, and iQOO, plus OnePlus which has been acquired by OPPO.
